What is the Link Generator?
The LootBazaar Link Generator is a tool in your Publisher Dashboard that converts any product URL into a trackable affiliate short link. Under the hood, it calls the Cuelinks API v2 to create a properly tracked URL, then wraps it in a short link hosted on lootbazaar.net/l/
Step-by-Step: Generating a Link
- Log in to your Publisher Account.
- Go to "My Links" or "Link Generator" from the sidebar.
- Find a product you want to promote (e.g. on Amazon or Flipkart).
- Copy the product URL from your browser's address bar.
- Paste the URL into the Link Generator text box.
- Click "Generate Link".
- LootBazaar will show your unique short link (lootbazaar.net/l/xxxxxx).
- Copy and share this link anywhere — Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram bio, etc.
What Happens Behind the Scenes
- LootBazaar expands any shortened URLs (like amzn.to) to the full URL.
- It strips unwanted UTM and tracking parameters from the URL.
- Detects which store the URL belongs to.
- Calls: GET https://www.cuelinks.com/api/v2/links?url={cleanUrl}&subid={yourUUID}
- Gets back the Cuelinks tracking URL.
- Generates a unique 6-character short code.
- Saves the mapping in the publisher_links database table.
- Returns: lootbazaar.net/l/{shortCode}
💡 Pro Tip: Always use the Link Generator instead of copying raw affiliate links. The short link format tracks clicks AND sales, while raw Cuelinks links only track sales.
